Ashley E. Rundell, Esquire, is an Associate Attorney at The Lynch Law Group in the Family Law Practice Group. With her strong background in family law and criminal defense, Ashley is committed to providing compassionate and effective legal representation to clients navigating some of life’s most challenging circumstances.

Ashley's professional accomplishments have been recognized by her inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in 2025 and being named in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers: Rising Stars list every year since 2022.

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Ashley distinguished herself as a dedicated student and leader. She served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Pittsburgh Tax Review, honing her analytical and writing skills. Ashley’s talents shone in various competitions, including winning the Murray S. Love Mock Trial Competition in both 2019 and 2020, and being a national finalist in the ABA Section of Employment and Labor Law’s Trial Advocacy Program. Her commitment to academic excellence earned her numerous accolades, including the Dean’s Scholarship, the W. Edward Sell and Cordelia F. Sell Scholarship, and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in multiple courses.

Before joining The Lynch Law Group, Ashley gained valuable experience at several prominent Pittsburgh law firms. At another firm, she focused on complex family law matters, representing clients in divorce, child custody, support, and Protection from Abuse cases.

Ashley also had the privilege of serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Elliot C. Howsie at the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. In this role, she researched and drafted judicial opinions for both Family and Criminal Division cases at the trial and appellate levels. This experience provided her with invaluable insights into the inner workings of the court system and the decision-making process behind the bench.

During her time at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Ashley gained hands-on experience through various internships and clerkships. As a Certified Legal Intern at Neighborhood Legal Services, she assisted clients in obtaining Protection from Abuse orders, honing her skills in negotiation, investigation, and courtroom advocacy. Ashley also interned at the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office and the City of Philadelphia Office of the District Attorney, where she supported prosecutors in trial preparation and accompanied them to court and victim/witness interviews.

Ashley believes the key to a successful practice of law is her people-first approach. She understands that clients facing family law and criminal matters are often going through the most difficult times of their lives. With empathy and compassion at the core of her work, Ashley is dedicated to providing not only skilled legal representation but also the support and guidance her clients need to navigate these challenging situations.
